Harry Redknapp blasted Black Cats midfielder Lee Cattermole after an X-certificate challenge on Spurs midfielder Luka Modric.
Asamoah Gyan’s 67th-minute strike earned Sunderland a point, three minutes after Rafael van der Vaart put Spurs ahead.
But Redknapp was left raging at the performance of ref Howard Webb, who denied Spurs a clear penalty and produced only yellow for Cattermole’s studs-up tackle on Modric.
Redknapp said: “I watched it back and I thought it was a bad tackle that could have broken his leg.
